The 11th Automotive Symposium

print The 11th Automotive Symposium, organized in conjuction with the Mould Eurasia 2009 fair, was arranged on May 8-9 2009 in Bursa, Turkey. Mr. Aziz Hatman from ASSAB Çelik ve Isıl İşlem A.Ş and Mr. Börje Johansson from Uddeholm Tooling AB made presentations about “Expected specialities from tool steels for shaping advanced high-strength steels”.

The Automotive and Sub-Industry Symposium, first arranged in 1984, aims to bring up the economical and technical problems of these industries that have an important share within Turkish industry.

Especially after the year 2000, the automotive industry has made great progress and started to be viewed upon as a leading sector in Turkey. The automotive industry has close relations with sectors like iron and steel, petrochemical, rubber-plastic, electric, electronic, paint, textiles, glass, repair-maintenance, finance, marketing and insurance etc. When considering the efficiency and volumes worldwide, it is the leader of technological developments. Therefore, the automotive industry will maintain its importance for national economies and technical developments in the future as well.
