Uddeholm Tooling AB European Marketing Team Meeting in Istanbul, October 20–21, 2008

print Uddeholm Tooling AB, leading tool steel manufacturer of Sweden, held its European Marketing Team Meeting in Istanbul on October 20-21, 2008.

The Istanbul Marmara Pera Hotel was the venue where the whole European Uddeholm organization met.

The reason for the meeting was to discuss Uddeholm’s European sales strategies for 2009, and also to celebrate ASSAB Celik ve Isıl Islem AS’s incorporation into the Uddeholm European Organization Group.

The participants were, beside the European top executives of Uddeholm, also ASSAB Celik Board Members and Managing Director Onder Yucel, who also arranged this meeting with the contributions of Dr. Aziz Hatman, Nur Erdogan, Ozlem Akdemir and Sakine Ulker.

Approximately 40 attorneys from Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Slovakia, Poland, Holland, Luxemburg, Belgium, Hungary, England, Italy, France, Portugal, Switzerland, Austria and other European markets attended the meeting.

After the intensive sessions of the first day of the meeting, the European Marketing Team visited the facilities of ASSAB Celik in Dudullu and were informed about the organization and operation of ASSAB in Turkey.

During the second day of the meeting, the attorneys made a joint resolution to raise the market share in Europe despite the world-shaking financial crisis.

The day was ended wity a visit to the Sultanahmet, and guests were treated to the unique sights and historical heritage of Istanbul.
